Les Gets
The resort has always been popular with French families and holds the 'Famille Plus' label for its child-friendliness.
The numerous facilities on offer in Les Gets would normally be associated with bigger centre including an 18-hole golf course, leisure area with a swimming lake, an adventure park, an extensive lift system to take you without effort to the top of the mountains, ten-pin bowling etc.
As the Mecca for mountain biking, Les Gets regularly holds the discipline's World Cup. Les Gets is rich in trails and downhill courses, which attract riders from all over Europe. Walkers will be rewarded with magnificent views of Mont-Blanc from either side of mountain tops above the village of Les Gets.
The extensive selection of restaurants in Les Gets makes eating out a pleasure while the delicatessen or the local cheese dairy will delight those looking to make their own feasts. Every Thursday in Les Gets the traditional market will bring you mouth-watering local produce.
Halfway between Lake Geneva and Mont-Blanc, Les Gets is set in a picturesque Valley which is easily accessed by motorway and only 55km from Geneva.

Portes du Soleil Multipass
Thanks to the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass enjoy unlimited activities for everyone in the Portes du Soleil area. For all the holidaymakers staying at a participating accommodation provider, the Multi-Pass gives you access to more than 70 activities in the 12 village resorts of the Portes du Soleil. Enjoy them on your own, as a couple, with your family or in a group… for only €3* per day of stay. Children under 5 are free.
Trampolines and bungee at Mont Chery
Come and practice your acrobatics in a majestic arena with views of Mont Blanc from July. Located at the top of the Mont Chéry bubble and suitable for all ages, you’ll find enclosed trampolines and a bungee trampoline, where we’ll attach to you a framework with elastic ropes while you bounce on the trampoline below. Mont Chéry bubble-free with the Multi-Pass but activity is payable.
Mountain biking
The Les Gets Bikepark belongs to the VTT area of Les Portes du Soleil, one of the biggest linked area in the world with 12 resorts between France and Switzerland and 650km of trails.
Road bikes, DH mountain bikes, Enduro or Electric bikes… Les Gets has been a pioneering destination in cycling since 1992. Today it is a European benchmark, with an exceptional Bikepark with over 128km of marked trails from green to white, including specially adapted ones for e-bikes, and facilities for every level of ability.

Mountain coaster
At Les Perrières, experience the year-round, rail-mounted toboggan track. Hop on board this attraction located at the Les Perrières parking area. With a length of 1100m, a vertical drop of 104m, and an average slope of 14.50%, this ride promises twists, changes in slope (peaking at 46%), speed (up to 40 km/h), and guaranteed sensations. Minimum age 8 years old alone, 3 years old accompanied. On-site snack bar.
The little trains
The little train (free) runs every day (except Saturdays) in July and August. Heritage little train, for guided tours (payable), on certain days of the week.
Bowling
The bowling alley is open every day. It has 2 lanes, a bar, 2 pool tables and a dart board. French and English football matches are also shown.
Leisure area and swimming lake
The bathing lake is monitored by qualified staff. The average water temperature is 22°C in July and August. There is a large grassy beach, self-service barbecue, slide, wibit park (inflatable games on water), multi-sports and beach volleyball courts, pump track, fitness modules, ping-pong tables, recreational play areas, lifeguards…there are toilets and an on-site restaurant. Parking is available.
There is also a new recreational facility. Equipped with various modules, water jets and other refreshing elements, this water fun park is sure to keep the youngest amused and splashing around for hours…
The access to the lake is free. Chair/deskchair rental available.
Wibit waterpark
Come and enjoy a fun family day out at the beautiful Ecoles Lake where there is a floating water course made up of 40 inflatable modules. Open in July and August, each session is 45 mins. Booking advised.
For children (over 1m20) and adults alike, the Wibit Park is made up of around 40 modules with an obstacle course, giant slide, water climbing wall, blob (human catapult) and monkey cage among others.
For children aged 5 and 8, the KidsPark is a course designed for the youngest, so that they can have fun in complete safety on fun and adapted modules (slides, cones and other inflatable obstacles).
The Perrieres Cheese Dairy
A family-owned business since 1950, the Fruitière is the place where milk is turned into cheese, where the fruit of the milk is collected, hence the word fruitière. Every day Abondance, tome and raclette are produced. Every Wednesday at 10am free guided tour to see the cheese being made (on reservation). A family affair for three generations, Monique and her daughter Caroline are pleased to welcome you to this traditional farm comprising a cheese dairy, restaurant and cheese shop.
Les Gets restaurants and bars
Les Gets is blessed to have many excellent restaurants and bars in the village and there is even a nightclub (l'Igloo). You will be spoilt for choice!

By road
Driving distance from Calais to Les Gets approx. 863km (538 miles) (approx. 8hrs). A6 motorway via Macon followed by the A40 motorway towards Geneva. Exit at Annemasse, Thonon, Chatel.
From Northern Europe, access via the Swiss motorway towards Martigny. Exit Portes du Soleil, 20 minutes from Chatel.

Alta Lumina - As night falls in the heart of the forest, the new Alta Lumina trail plunges you into an imaginary world, on a wonderful interactive adventure full of emotions that are unique to each participant. You will be immersed in a wondrous environment, where the story is told through a poetics of light, music, imagery, set design and interactivity. It uses a finely tuned show of light, video projection and original sound effects to harness and exalt the natural beauty of the site. Tickets need to be booked.
