La Rosière is a family-orientated resort in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley. It has its own ski area and, with 152km of pistes, 38 lifts and a international link to La Thuile's ski area in Italy, it's not to be sniffed at! On top of its beauty, its convenience and its fun atmosphere, here are 5 reasons why we'd opt to rediscover the resort this season...
1. The new Mont Valaisan sector
The addition of five new red graded pistes and two new 6-seater lifts brings the total run count to 198km! The new Mont-Valaisan peak will raise the altitude to 2800m and create lots of secured new free-riding opportunities!
2. First Tracks VIP
Early birds make the first tracks! Go on an early morning tour of the Espace San Bernardo ski area, and ski before anyone else. This is an organised unique experience that is rounded off with a hearty breakfast in L'Antigel restaurant.
3. All the events
So much happens throughout the winter season, including the Freeski Playoffs (freestyle skiing competition) and The Freeride Junior Tour (for up-and-coming youngsters)! There are always spectacular events planned for Christmas and New Year in La Rosière too!
4. Petit Saint-Bernard funcross
A brilliant 1000m long run where the whole family can join in with the fun! Follow the Saint-Bernard dog-themed course and discover the new modules, tunnels and gongs. This will quickly become a favourite with both the young and the old!
5. Stunning new accommodation
La Rosière now has even more choice with a new 4 * properties including luxury apartments at Le Hameau de Barthelemy and the Hyatt Centric Hotel, which are both close to the slopes and the ski school.
