Les Carroz d'Araches
Les Carroz d'Araches has pavement cafés and interesting little shops centered around the main square. It has a pleasant 'lived-in' feel and has been popular with French families since the mid-1930s for its superb children's facilities which also includes children’s clubs.
In Les Carroz d'Araches there is a swimming pool complex with 3 pools, paddling pool, water slides, bouncy castle, volleyball, trampoline, restaurant and bar, surrounded by a large expanse of green lawn. The 18-hole golf course boasts fantastic views, open every day in July and August. Other golfing challenges in the area include an 18-hole course at Les Gets, a 9-hole course at Avoriaz, and a practice range at Samoëns with a driving range over water and a putting green.
The gondola in Les Carroz takes you up the mountain to the fabulous scenery, leaving you to descend at your leisure. The Tourist Information Office in Les Carroz keeps a wealth of informative literature and will help keep visitors entertained during their stay.
Les Carroz is one of the most accessible resorts in the Alps with very easy access from the motorway, train station or Geneva airport.

Mountain coaster
Head for the Speed Dragoz, a track circuit in the heart of the forest, starting from the Kédeuze cable car. Try the coaster with your eyes open and then go again with the virtual reality mask that transports you into an immersive universe (there are 2 virtual reality films to choose from). Open every day over the summer months with some night sessions available in July and August. Age 4+ and over 1m05 accompanied or 9 and over with a minimum 1m40 unaccompanied.
Kedeuze gondola
The gondola gives access to the DH mountain bike trails, hike or bike trails, paragliding, to admire the stunning views of the Arve valley, have a break at the Airon pasture or else admire the Mont Blanc.
Aquacime centre (swimming)
Aquacime is a complex with an indoor wellness, fitness centre, outdoor swimming pools, water slides, beach volleyball court, snack bar and spaces specifically equipped for families and disabled. Open every day in summer.

Mountain biking
The bike park’s 7 downhill runs cover over 14kms of tracks designed for exhilarating riding. Their ease of access using the Kédeuze cable car is appreciated by all riding abilities, from the green trail for the whole family to the French championship double black trail. A bike patrol trail crew maintains and checks trail safety on a daily basis. Open every day in the summer. Nearby services: free parking, self-service eco-friendly carwash, picnic tables, and numerous footpaths for accompanying persons.
Hiking
Soak up the pure mountain air of the summits, observe protected plants and wildlife, cross alpine pastures and forests… Marmots will show you the way on the Tête des Saix… Taste cheese straight from the farmhouse by the Airon Lake…
White water sports
Canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, canorafting, airboating… there’s no shortage of opportunities for thrill-seekers, with a guide.

Getting to Les Carroz d'Araches, France
By road:
Driving distance from Calais to Les Carroz is approx. 870km (539 miles) (approx. 8hrs). From Calais, take A26 Motorway towards Reims and Troyes, then Dijon, Mâcon then ‘Autoroute Blanche’ Motorway (A40 Mâcon – Cluses) exit Cluses Centre (no 19), follow N205 road towards Sallanches. After 3 km follow signs to ‘Les Carroz d’Araches’ and turn left towards Les Carroz on the D6 road. Note, no petrol station in the resort! The nearest is the BP station on the N205 near the motorway exit 12km from Les Carroz d'Araches.
