Hotel Avancher
The Avancher Lodge and Hotel Avancher have quickly established a loyal following and a reputation for being one of the best addresses in the resort. The reconstruction in 2018 has been very successful, with extensive use of traditional materials of local stone and wood, but with some interesting contemporary additions. The atmosphere is one of relaxed well-being. In particular, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Arrivals at the Avancher Lodge are on Sundays. Highly recommended equally for friends and families.

- The very highly rated restaurant (closed on Monday evenings) serves an excellent 3-course half board dinner, as well as local specialities (their legendary raclette is not to be missed! The raclette is delicately browned under the central oven of the restaurant and is served on a plate, as tradition demands. It is the only place in Val d’Isère where you can enjoy it in this way), and an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast (included for hotel guests),

All 37 bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished in a contemporary style, and are spacious and very comfortable; all have a double bed or 2 single beds (please specify your preference when booking) and an extra bed if required for a child under 12 years (on request); WiFi, kettle, mini-fridge, hairdryer, safe, satellite TV, shower/bath, WC, balcony or terrace.
